1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing or using Sweep ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
These Terms are in addition to Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement ("Apple EULA"). Apple is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the App or its content. If these Terms conflict with the Apple EULA on a matter that concerns Apple, the Apple EULA prevails.
2. Description of Service
Sweep is an app that helps you go through your photos and videos by month and decide, one item at a time, whether to keep or delete each one. You can add a note to an item and share an item. The App accesses your photo library only to display your photos and videos and to carry out the actions you choose.
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We may change, add or remove features of the App.
3. IMPORTANT: Deleting Photos and Videos
Please read this section carefully.
- A confirmation screen is shown before a deletion is finalized. Nothing is deleted until you confirm.
- When you confirm, the selected photos and videos are moved to your device's "Recently Deleted" album. iOS keeps them there for 30 days before permanently erasing them. During this period you may be able to restore them from the Photos app (Albums > Recently Deleted).
- Once an item is permanently erased from "Recently Deleted", it cannot be recovered. If your device is critically low on storage, Apple's own behavior may erase items sooner than 30 days.
- If iCloud Photos is enabled, a deletion syncs to all your devices signed in with the same Apple ID.
- If an item belongs to an iCloud Shared Photo Library, deletion may affect all participants. The App does not distinguish between your personal photos and photos in a Shared Library.
- Deleting the cover photo of a Burst sequence deletes the entire burst, including frames not shown in the App.
- You are responsible for deciding what to delete. We recommend backing up photos and videos that matter to you before you delete anything.

4. License
Subject to these Terms, Eightask grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes.
You may not:
- Copy, modify or distribute the App, except as the law allows
- Reverse engineer the App or attempt to extract its source code, except as the law allows
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
5. Privacy
How information is handled is described in our Privacy Policy: https://nemuu-gatchi.pages.dev/sweep-privacy. The Privacy Policy also explains how earlier versions of the App differed. Please read it. If these Terms and the Privacy Policy differ on how information is handled, the Privacy Policy applies.
6. Free of Charge; Possible Paid Features
The App is currently offered free of charge. If Eightask introduces paid features in the future, they will be offered through the Apple App Store with the price shown before you buy. Purchases are processed by Apple Inc. and are subject to Apple's terms. Eightask does not handle your payment information. Refund requests must be made to Apple at https://reportaproblem.apple.com.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
Eightask does not warrant that:
- The App will be error-free or uninterrupted
- Any data (including photos and videos) will be preserved or recoverable
- The App will meet your specific requirements
8. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use the App to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe the rights of others
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system or network
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Eightask is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including loss of data, photos, videos or files, and loss of profits or revenue, arising from your use of or inability to use the App, even if Eightask was advised of the possibility of such damages.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law (including liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence), or any rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law where you live.
10. Intellectual Property
All content, features and functionality of the App, including text, graphics, logos and software, are the property of Eightask or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Your own photos, videos and notes remain yours; these Terms give Eightask no rights in them.
11. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it. We may terminate your license to use the App if we reasonably believe that you have violated these Terms or that your conduct is harmful to others or to us.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms when needed.
Changes to these Terms take effect upon being posted to this page. We do not give advance notice of changes. If you do not agree to the changed Terms, you can stop using the App.
The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page shows when these Terms were last revised.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. To the extent permitted by law, the Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction in the first instance over disputes arising from these Terms. This does not take away any rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law where you live.
